🥾 Got Hiking Questions? Let’s Talk

Hey Reader!

Hope your 4th of July weekend was as awesome as a perfect summit view! Summer’s just getting started, and it’s definitely not too late to plan those hiking trips — even if you haven't snagged any permits yet.

Exciting news to share!

I’m officially opening up my calendar this July for something I’ve tested and loved in the past: 30-minute trip planning consultations. These are quick, no-fuss, one-on-one calls designed to give you personalized, expert advice on your hiking or camping plans — without the commitment of a full itinerary service.

What?
A focused 30-minute call where we dig into your trip plans, answer your questions, and sort out details like routes, weather, gear, permits, and any other trip nitty gritty. No fluff — just practical, actionable advice to get you confident and ready.
💰 $55 per session.

Why?
Because sometimes you just want a little expert advice — a nudge here, a pro tip there — without the whole shebang. After testing this before and reflecting on a recent chat with a fellow adventurer, I realized how much I miss helping others plan smoother, smarter adventures. And let’s be real — catching me in the DMs while I’m on the road doesn’t usually get you my full attention. These consultations give us dedicated time to focus fully on your trip and questions, so you get the guidance you deserve.

When?

July is the time. I’m setting aside space this month before summer travels sweep me away again — so if you’ve got a trip in mind and need some quick guidance or gear recs, now’s the time to pick my brain!

Looking forward to chatting!

Hey Reader! Fall is here, and the first hints of color are showing in the high country. Colorado’s peak hasn’t hit yet, but it’s expected earlier than usual this year—so now’s the time to start watching your favorite spots and planning your leaf-peeping road trip. 🍁 Colorado: The northern part of the state turns first, and a few trees in Rocky Mountain National Park are already changing. Peak is still a ways off, but lower elevations will follow in the next couple of weeks. Here's your...

Hey Reader! If you haven't noticed by now, I'm a sucker for a turquoise lake hike—but it's even better when it's surrounded by colorful mountains. That’s exactly what you get at Lake Chihuahua, an underrated yet stunning alpine lake tucked away in Colorado’s high country, less than 2 hours from Denver. I didn’t include it in my “Best Turquoise Lakes” previous roundup—not because it didn’t earn a spot, but because it amazed me so much that I felt deserved its own feature. This trail has: ✅...
